The Plastic Navy Angler of the Year

7 Events, 6 launch locations in 5 bodies of water. We are going to find the best kayak anglers in Southern California through the most exciting thing to happen in kayak fishing since the invention of superlinear polyethylene. Just fish any of these trail events and you're entered!

Points will be awarded exactly as the winning fish weight is determined. In all Plastic Navy managed events fish are weighed to the 1/100ths pound and points will reflect that. A 2.23# fish is worth 2.23 points. All points will be tallied as quickly as possible after an event and be listed on the tournament leaderboard on this site.

The tournaments will come to an end with the Kayak Fishing Classic 4 on San Diego Bay. The 1st-5th places for the KFC4 event will be announced as well as the Angler of the Year. We will take the total score from your 6 best events!

Not all events will have the same rules or formats but they will all be bass only events and will provide the same opportunities to all anglers to score points. All events will be FUN and the prizes are going to be like nothing ever seen in kayak fishing history!

The Plastic Navy Tournament Trail will capture points from the following events and put them towards the Angler of the Year awards:

2. SDSC Tournament - Mid April (TBA), Santa Clara Pt, Mission Bay

3. Fastlane Kayak Fishing Frenzy - May 14, Mission Bay

4. Plastic Navy Tournament Trail 2 - July 9th, La Jolla Kelp

5. Plastic Navy Tournament Trail 3 - Shelter Island, September 17

6. Southwind Kayaks Tournament - October 29, Newport Harbor

7. Kayak Fishing Classic 4 - Nov 12, Shelter Island, San Diego Bay
