1. How long have been fishing the kayak?
6 Months
2. Why did you choose this boat?
A lot of input from "The Preslar".
I wanted something fast, light, and that I customize.
Also something that could with-stand falling off my roof rack!
(Has happened 3 times already)
3. Have you owned other boats? Which? In what order? Discuss your
progression.
No
4. What are the tradeoffs of this kayak?
This is a WET boat!!! I do not like the Hatch solution. I like a latch solution much better than a clip-on solution. The front Hatch does not seem to seal well. I am amazed how much water gets into the Yak after entering those huge breaks.
Also, I do not like where the scupper holes are. Your area is always wet. The foot hole and seat areas are always full of water. I have to wear waterproof pants, or I will have a pruned you know what.
5. What are the strengths of this kayak?
This Yak is fast, extremely maneuverable, and light !
6. What is the one thing that keeps it above the rest in your mind?
How light the Prowler is. I can not tell you how painful it is to help out Preslar and carry the "Xfactor weight" to the water, after "Gracefully dance'n my Prowler to the water.
7. Anything else?
Scotty System works well on this boat. My front Rods are just far enough out of my way, and my GPS is right @ eye site. I have mounted a compass in the incline down to the feat area. Worked out really well.
