1. How long have been fishing the Pro Explorer?
Ive been in this kayak for i think like 5 months
2. Why did you choose this boat?
I chose this boat because I wanted something larger and liked it more than the Navigator which were only 2 in my price range at the time, $75.00 short of eXtreme.
3. Have you owned other boats? Which? In what order? Discuss your progression to the eXtreme.
I owned a Cobra Explorer that i fished out of a lot and I still have an OK Scrambler. My progression is that i have gotten a longer boat and a more suitable fishing machine.
4. What are the tradeoffs of this kayak?
I think although the kayak has fair speed and stablity the storage on it could improve. The tankwell I wish was larger and maybe room behind the seat for a hatch on a flat area. Also, personally I favor the ajustable foot rests which this boat lacks. Also I'd like to see more areas to mount rodholders around the cockpit and front areas.
5. What are the strengths of this kayak?
I think that this kayak fairly fast yet stable enough to where i can stand on it. The hull is durable and the hatches are nice and gives sufficient under deck storage. I really don't know about it being above the rest as i really would like an
extreme however in my opinion it is above the others in its size/price range. I
found the boat to paddle easier than the Navigator and also the hatch options
are better.

6. What is the one thing that keeps it above the rest in your mind?
Overall i think that the proexplorer is a great boat for the beginning kayak fishermen and i am very happy with it. The manufacturer has a great warrently on it and the hull can take a beating and not be harmed too much. While I like the texture because it doesnt show scratches I have often gotten rubbed by it and it can hurt. Also the texture doesnt allow room for all the decals.
